Ornamental Fence

For hundreds of years ornamental fencing has enhanced the architectural beauty of homes, buildings and churches. Originally fashioned from wrought iron designed and forged by blacksmiths, today's ornamental fencing is crafted using modern materials and current production techniques. Steel or aluminum components are fabricated into sections using fasteners, locking rods, or welding

Ornamental fencing today is constructed primarly from ornamental iron and more recently in aluminium. Both types of ornamental fence provide security and athstetic appeal. Ornamental aluminum has become popular in areas near the coasts because it is does not rust and tarnish like ornamental iron fencing.

Ornamental Fencing

Modern ornamental fence features high-tech, low-maintenance finishes. It is cost-effective, whether produced in steel or in aluminum. Much of the ornamental fence in the United States is now being produced in Asia due to lower wages and environmental regulations. Many American contractors have expressed concern about the quality of this imported fence. Ornamental fence manufacturers include Ameristar, AlumiGuard, Monumental Iron, Elite Aluminum, Specrail, Ideal Aluminum, Delgard, and Jerith.

Aluminum Fence

Aluminum is quickly becoming a favorite fence material for homeowners because of its flexibility and durability. Aluminum does not readily rust, and most aluminum fences come with a lifetime guarantee. The fence components are made in a variety of styles and are easily put together from prefabricated sections. Aluminum gates provide years of maintenance-free operation.
